A suspect is in custody after two people were shot at Methodist Dallas Medical Center on Saturday morning, police say.
Officers responded to the shooting at about 11:10 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Beckley Avenue, records show. No other details were immediately available about the condition of the victims.
At least 10 Dallas police cars were parked near the center’s emergency department in north Oak Cliff.

A tour of the hospital’s new Linda and Mitch Hart Breast Center for breast cancer survivors planned to start at noon was canceled, a spokesperson for Methodist confirmed. In a previous news release, the hospital said dozens of survivors were invited to tour the new facilities.
Dallas police said they are providing assistance and directing all media inquiries to hospital police. A hospital spokesperson said that when appropriate, a briefing will happen and said any other information would come through Dallas police.
