DRY AIR MOVING ON IN, BUT BOY, IT’S GOING TO BE BREEZY OUT THERE. SO AS TEMPERATURES SLOWLY CLIMB TO LOWEST HIGHS THAT WE’VE HAD SO FAR THIS SEASON IN THE LOWER FIFTIES, 53, WHEN WE FACTOR IN WIND, IT’S GOING TO FEEL LIKE THE MIDDLE AND UPPER FORTIES THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY. SO I THINK WE’RE GOING TO KEEP THE JACKETS ON INTO THE AFTERNOON AND TRADE IN THE JACKETS FOR A COAT INTO TONIGHT, ESPECIALLY AFTER SUNSET. IT WILL BE NEAR 40 DEGREES BY 11:00. CLOUD COVER WILL THICKEN UP BRIEFLY TONIGHT. WE COULD EVEN SEE A COUPLE OF FLURRIES NORTH AND OF TOWN. BUT I THINK OVERALL THE BIGGER STORY IS GOING TO BE THE LOWS THAT GOING TO BE FALLING DOWN INTO THE UPPER TWENTIES AND LOW THIRTIES ACROSS OUR YOU SEE, FREEZING IN MADISON, 31 SEYMOUR IN FRANKFURT. THEY’LL BE A LITTLE MORE CLOUD COVER AND A LITTLE BETTER CHANCE. A SPOTTY FLURRY NORTH AND EAST, FARTHER TO THE SOUTH AND WEST, CLEAR SKIES WILL ALLOW THESE TEMPERATURES TO DROP INTO THE TWENTIES. 29 AROUND ELIZABETHTOWN 28. HEY, ONLY BRANDENBURG. LITCHFIELD, CAMPBELLSVILLE. COUPLE OF THE COLDEST COMMUNITIES OUR REGION MAY BE 2726 DEGREES, SO FREEZE IN EFFECT ACROSS THE AREA. WE’VE ALREADY HAD SOME FREEZES ACROSS THE AREA, BUT THIS WILL BE MORE WIDESPREAD IN NATURE ACROSS THE AREA. NOW, FUTURECAST SET IN MOTION SHOWS QUIET WEATHER THROUGH THE AFTERNOON, BUT CHECK OUT WHAT LATER TONIGHT. WE WATCH OUT TO THE NORTH AS CLOUD COVER INCREASES AND A FEW STRAY FLURRIES WILL BE POSSIBLE. THIS DOESN’T CAUSE ANY ACCUMULATION. Perhaps a flake or two could make their way to the ground overnight, but it won’t be much.

As a cold front moves through the WLKY region this Monday, expect breezy and chilly highs in the low 50s, which is close to 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. As we move into the evening, increasing clouds from the North combined with temperatures falling into the 30s could bring the season’s first flurries to parts of the area. The best opportunity for some flakes will mainly be north and east of Louisville through the overnight hours. No accumulation or travel issues are expected. Regardless of flurry chances, a freeze warning will be in effect tonight across the entire WLKY region. Cover up those plants or bring them indoors if you want to extend the growing season or keep those pretty mums around for a little bit longer.
