Although Brady was in a relationship when he first met Bündchen, they both seemed to know their connection was something special. Shortly after meeting the model, Brady broke up with his then-girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan.
And Bündchen has said she knew it was love at first sight.
“I knew right way — the first time I saw him,” she told Vanity Fair in 2009. “We met through a friend. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, ‘That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen!'”
“We sat and talked for three hours. I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave,” she added. “You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other.”

“There was a couple years ago, she didn’t feel I was doing my part for the family,” he said. “She felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house and then all the sudden when the season would end, that I’d be like, ‘Great, let me get into all my other business activities. Brady played alongside his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for a slot in the 2021 Super Bowl and won.
Bündchen, who was live-tweeting the game, celebrated his win on Twitter by writing, “Oh, that’s the way, uh-huh uh-huh I like it!!!!”

February 7, 2021: Bündchen and Brady celebrated after the quarterback’s seventh Super Bowl win.
In February 2021, Brady played in his 10th Super Bowl and won alongside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After the game, Bündchen approached Brady and greeted him with a celebratory kiss. The quarterback’s kids also rejoiced at the accomplishment, his daughter reportedly throwing a handful of confetti in the air.

March 13, 2022: Brady unretired from the NFL and announced his upcoming season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
About six weeks after announcing his retirement, Brady took to social media to reverse his statement.
In a tweet and Instagram post, he wrote, “These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.”

September 7, 2022: Sources told People that Brady and Bündchen hit “a rough patch.”
Several sources told People that Brady’s decision to postpone his retirement caused “a lot of tension” between him and Bündchen.
“She was so happy when he announced his retirement, and she wasn’t thrilled at all when he went back on that,” a source said, according to People.
“They’re hitting a rough patch. But I know they’re trying, or at least he’s trying, to figure it out and make it work,” they added. “He wants to get through this and for things to get better.”
September 11, 2022: Bündchen didn’t attend Brady’s first game of the season but posted a supportive tweet.
Marking the start of his 23rd season, Brady played alongside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 11.
Bündchen was not in the stands but tweeted, “Let’s go @TomBrady ! Let’s go Bucs !”
September 16, 2022: A source told People the couple had been living apart for over a month.
A source told People that Brady and Bündchen have been living separately for “more than a month.”
According to the publication, several other sources confirmed the arrangement.
One said, “Gisele is busy with her own life now, and has spent time away from Tom in Miami and New York.” And another explained that they live “separate lives” during the NFL season.
“They both want to live in Miami, they love it, and have loads of friends there,” one of the sources added. “I don’t think there is any formal separation at this point, they would like to work things out.”
October 28, 2022: The couple finalized their divorce.
After 13 years of marriage, Bündchen and Brady both took to Instagram to confirm they “finalized” their divorce.
Brady wrote, “We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”
Bündchen also posted a statement on Instagram that read, “The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always.”
She added that she and Brady will “continue co-parenting” their children.
